Alex and Jeff were at Paramount Studios to witness James Cameron and Michael Bay discuss the state of 3D filmmaking, summer blockbusters, and more. Plus, they give their account of 15 minutes of over-the-top Transformers: Dark of the Moon footage. You might be surprised what they think!

@thelatestttplague doesn’t surprise me. Cameron is always a tech driven director. I remember back in 97′, when he’s promoting Titanic, he emphasized the technical aspect of the film quite a bit.
on top of that, he’s a marketing “genius”. If there’s no brilliant marketing strategy to backed-up Avatar, I think it would’ve bomb, it’s a mediocre story with shallow characters.

I think this might …
I think this might be my first step to understanding and embracing 3D tech. Before hearing them speak I was truly a massive hater of 3D and wanted nothing to do with it. Lets hope we can get standards in place and LOSE THE GLASSES

3D Movies ? Can you like see it from every angle? Can you switch sides and see them from different view points, like “Oh that dude is blocking my view i can’t see behind him so wossh!! siwtch” or i want to watch whats on the other side of the building?……..NO ? why he they call it 3D if you can’t explore the movie world???? can different move theaters have different 3d quality? i watched pirates of the caribbean in 3d the other day cause TRS braged about the 3D in that film, and it suuucked! i mean we were missing the lower part of the picture and I was like forget it! im not watching 3d again, but i feel now like i want to give transformers a shot?

@everett12341 because 1. It’s an excuse for film makers to make more money off tickets and 2. Most of the time the movies don’ actually need 3d to be good. Personally for me I see trailers painted with 3d rather than movie plot. Just make a good movie. Technical parts and prettiness should come later.
